KAVU was born in Seattle in 1993, A single product launch of the strap cap being sold out of the owners car designed to counter the wind blowing it off when fishing.  A product that is still running as a signature piece of what is now a global brand. Kavu is taken from an aviation acronym for “clear above visibility unlimited,” when there isn't a cloud in the sky and you can see to the horizon.
